{"product_id":"ct-014-coffee-table-oval-top-walnut","title":"CT - 014  Coffee Table - Oval Top Walnut","description":"\u003cp\u003eThe \"Santanoni\" Coffee Table dispels any idea that the term \"rustic elegance\" is an  oxymoron.  This is a design I  created using a Yellow birch root base and moose antler to support a very elegant oval top made from New York State walnut that I harvested in the Rochester area (walnut can be found in the Lake Champlain and St. Lawrence river valley, but does not generally grow in the Adirondacks). The apron under the top is made with bent tiger maple and then banded at the bottom with walnut. the end pieces of the apron are also walnut.  The top is finished with 10 coats of lacquer and has been sanded and polished through eleven grits of fine emery cloth, giving the top the appearance of viewing it through glass. The pedestal is yellow birch root\/stump cut perfectly level, every root contacting the floor precisely even and level.  The yellow birch pedestal is adorned with a moose antler drop*.  The table top measures 42\" long x 22\" wide (widest point) and stands 18 1\/2\" from the floor to the top of the table.
