This can be used s a sofa table or a writing table. The carcass of this piece is made from brown maple with bark-on live edges. There are two fully dovetailed drawers and mortised aprons. The pedestal is extremely rare; two separate yellow birch trees connected at the roots and adorned with deer antlers. The yellow birch root/stump is very precisely cut so that all of the roots contact the floor and it is extremely level. This was especially difficult given the two separate root balls that had to be coordinated to match the other. This is one of my favorite pieces. The table stands 30" floor to the top, and the table top is approximately 19" wide and 48 inches at the longest point.
