Tap racks are unique shelves made with beautiful and more uncommon forms of sugar maple, using vintage/antique maple syrup taps as pegs and hooks. These pieces are a tribute to the importance of the maple syrup industry in Adirondack history. The tiger maple used to make these came from a tree I harvested in the Chateaugay, NY area. It is extremely high quality and quite rare tiger maple. The spalted maple is formed during early stages of decay, creating stunning black lines in the wood. The brown maple, with a large amount of heartwood present, was cut in Mountain View, NY. The burls give the live edge much more character. Every tap rack comes with a mounting kit; keyhole mounting design means no visible screws or holes!
