This end table features a solid walnut natural base that compliments the oval walnut top. The apron under the oval top is constructed using bent tiger maple and the is banded with walnut at the bottom. The tiger maple goes extremely well with the walnut and the contrast of both woods help bring the the wood out. The end pieces on the apron are also done with coordinating walnut. The pedestal is made from two yellow birch trees mated to form a beautiful natural pedestal that defines "Adirondack ". The stand out feature of this piece is the heron made from pieces of driftwood carefully assembled into a unique facsimile of an Adirondack blue heron. The table was named after Heron Marsh at Paul Smiths college, one of my favorite places to walk. The table measures 25" in height
