This coffee table is made from Adirondack "brown" maple. The wood features "bark-on" live edges and a beautiful range of dark brown colors and natural wood anomalies. It is very difficult to keep the bark on wood that is cut into lumber; it usually falls off during drying. If you find and harvest the right tree that is already dead and partially dry and cut it in the late Fall or Winter, it may stay on. The pedestal is yellow birch as are the apron ends and draw handles. The root pedestal is precisely cut so that it contacts the floor flat at every area it makes contact. The table rests spot on level north and south, and east and west. The table features two fully dove-tailed drawers and antlers that adorn the pedestal. This table is 17" in height and the top measures 48" at its longest point and approximated 22" wide (measurements vary given the faux live-edge on the ends). This table must be picked up at my shop as its size makes it impossible to ship.
